Emergency & Urgent Care

We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 6 days a week who is trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet’s life. Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel your pet needs emergency
treatment, do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If at all possible, it is best to call us at 972-771-1113 before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work to examine your pet between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen. In some cases, your pet may be admitted to the hospital for observation.

Our local community is fortunate to have emergency clinics that are open after hours every night, all weekend, and on holidays. Lake Ray Hubbard Emergency Pet Care Center and the Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas are fully staffed and trained in emergency and critical care and available to assist you in your time of need. In the event of an after hours emergency, you can be assured they will provide the utmost in medical care.
